Real Estate Website Consulting

One of the things that really got me into developing my own Real Estate websites was the huge cost that some companies wanted to charge me. Essentially I have learned to do it myself at a very reasonable cost.

The basics for a great website

Domain Name

You can spend a little or a lot depending on the domain name that you are looking for. I always suggest GoDaddy.com as a great place to start looking because they are inexpensive.

WordPress – FREE

Did I mention that the cost of the basis for a great website is FREE. It is really amazing how many great things can be done with this product and it is not just for simply blogging. WordPress has truly become a content management system (CMS for short). The CMS is what a number of companies sell you for a large set up cost and then a monthly cost.

WordPress Theme – FREE to Paid

There are lots of options out there that allow you to set up a site for free. There are also some way better paid themes that are available from such as the StudioPress AgentPress Child Theme which is geared to those in the Real Estate industry.

Hosting – can be around $10 per month

I can host your site for you on the Cloud Server for $10/month or you can host your site with a company like Pagely.com that will host and do the little extras for you for an additional fee per month.

IDX Search – Varies depending on your location.

This is what anyone visiting your site really wants (I pay just over $30 per month for all my sites)

Other than that it just takes time to get things up and running and yes you do have to do some work to keep things going. It is really not as scary as it seems to be when you first start out.

The extent of my website consulting can be as simple as getting you started to a full blown website project (which is not as painful as that sounds).

I really enjoy working with people to get them up and running. Let me know if you would like to chat more.
